La Belle Etoile Merlot
IGP Pays d’Oc
South of France
The Langedoc region is home to two big mountain ranges, the Pyrenees and the Cevennes. With the warm Mediterranean climate influence from the coastline on the South, which brings hot and dry summers and the and the cooling winds from the mountain range the vines produce grape ripes packed with fruity full flavours.
Ripe grapes are essential to produce a good wine, which is why our winemakers carefully choose the right moment to harvest. The grapes are destemmed and sent through a traditional maceration and fermentation process for about three weeks. This long process works to extract the specific character of the Merlot grapes, resulting in a wine with a good structure with supple tannins.
